32nd Executive Committee Formed

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Nepalese Australia Association (NAA) held on 14 December 2014 has unanimously elected its 32nd executive committee.

The new committee is comprised of Mr. Umesh Panta as the president, Nisha Rani Rajbhandari as the vice-president, Surya Bhattarai as the general secretary, Ireena Ghimire as the secretary, Churamani Belbase as the treasurer and Prakash Thapa, Bhupendra Chudal, Laxman Sharma and Usha Sharma as the members.

The newly formed committee has committed itself towards working for the benefit of Nepalese community along with other friendly Nepalese non-profit organisations. The committee will build up on NAA’s signature programs One Family One Child Sponsorship (OFOC) and Children's Talent Night programs both launched in 2012.

The meeting was attended by members of the Nepalese community and Nepalese non-profit organisations including ex-President and Patron of NAA Ms. Indra Ban, ex-Presidents of NAA Mr. Shree Napit, Mr. Biwek Thapa and Dr. Narayan Pradhan, ex-Vice President and advisor of NAA Mr. Padam Shakya, NAA Senior Puran Sayami, President of NRNA Australia Mr. Mahendra Oli, NRNA ICC Member Mana K.C., President of NINFA Chitra B Tumbahangphe, President of Nepalese Federation Society Australia Mr. Ganesh Tamang and media personalities Rishi Acharya and Ram Neupane.

The guests congratulated newly formed committee and offered their support in the coming days ahead.
